Last test..

Not to toot my own horn. But I found our last exam of graphing cosine and sin pretty easy. Maybe I'm just good at it... Or I'm doing something wrong xD Looking forward to seeing the result.

Now goes graphing tangent functions... Now that looks like real fun.
I look forward to it.. But I don't....

Graphing triangles, within circles.

Well right now we are dealing with graphing cosine, sin and tangents. I guess I'm doing pretty well, but it's a bit hard to do the cosine, since there are a LOT of rules in play for this. But hey so far it's going great. I might not even have to take my final.

That's pretty much what we are doing now in class. Kinda hard to explain, feel free to look it up!

History experience

Well I know this is out of my usual posting. But on march 7th my school went to a field trip. We went to La Parguera in Lajas. Sincerely, I had a really good time with my friends. And I don't think its something I'm going to forget. It really is a good way to have your last field trip. Sorry about the picture being sideways.

Things I have to learn.

Well, recently we got into trigonometry and we are using the unit circle.
Lately there has been a lot of work and different types of ways of doing exercises.
Kinda hard to concentrate on all of it, sometimes I slip up at other things.
Just a little bit more and I'm graduating.
Anywho, up here you can see a picture of a few formulas I have to memorize, not even memorize.
You see, its simple when you replace the values for the thing you have to replace them with. I cant really explain all that well over the internet. But hey I get myself, and at this point I guess that's the most important thing.

Valentine's day and math

Well, our teacher decided to do something really unique this year. So she had us make the cards with the unitary circle and then had us present them to random peple in my classroom. Sadly, I forgot to take a picture of mine, I had written on it in circular gallifreyan, but hey whatever~

So instead here is a picture of the one I received It's gonna be helping me study and do my homework for the next few months!

A bit too colorful for my taste but it's functional!

Thanks again to she who will not be named mostly because I don't know her name.

A unit circle for Valentine's Day~

Well.. It appears that for this Valentine's day I have to find a way of making a real nice card while explaining what a unit circle is. It's a really interesting way for us to spend valentine's day, and to memorize what a unit circle is! For all of you who might not know what unit circle is, I borrowed a picture from my teacher's blog showing what it looks like. Try imagining how a valentine's day card is gonna look. I'll be posting a picture as soon as it's done.

New semester!

Well, I'm back. Christmas vacation was something interesting, and pretty fun at that. We started classes like a week ago, now I'm posting in here. Well, starting out we are basically working on logarithms again, rather simple. I think I'll do pretty well this semester. Same as the last semester, wish me luck.

This semester..

Well, this semester has been interesting, I've never had to take a class that wasn't with my group. And it's been a really fun experience since I'm learning so much new things about math, th will end up aiding me in the future. It's really not all that hard, or maybe I just have a knack for math. Well, I guess that would be it for this semester, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all who read this!

The test..

Yesterday, I also took a test. It was graphing exponential functions and from the looks of it, basic logarithms. It took me a while to actually finish the test, but when I finished it I realized how simple it really was, and that I was getting frustrated over nothing at all. In the end, I think I did very well on the test, and there a big chances that I might not have to take the pre-calculus final test.

Quizzes!

I've taken a few quizzes in my pre-calculus class, and in most of them I do well, but the last one really caught me by surprise. I got a 35/50, it's not bad, but it isn't good. The quiz if I remember correctly was graphing equations, but we had to find the asymtotes and such, and I made an error and that basically ruined the whole exercise. But hey at least my teacher was nice enough to notice that even though I got one part wrong, I did the exercise how I was supposed to with the results that I got.

Been a bit busy lately.

Sorry for not posting much. I've been a bit busy with different classes and such, got to get those grades up. Anywho, lately we have been getting into a lot of graphs and such, actually, since we began. But more now than ever, finding asymptotes and such. But hey it's pretty simple if you don't make any errors in your calculations. It happens xD

Well..

We've been doing quite a few new things in pre-calculus lately. We recently got into asymptotes, if I'm spelling it correctly. We did a proyect not long ago that makes us consider how trigonometry might fall within real life situations and how it helps us get more variables to consider within an enviroment or a problem. Here is a picture of mine:
We are basically finding the height of the screen with the angle from the bottom of the car to the top of the screen and the length from the car to the screen. And it forms a gigantic triangle. And what's on the screen? An Espurr. It's a pokemon xD
Math is much more important than people even give it credit for, when it comes down to it. Math is everywhere, even where we didn't even think it was. I mean, if it weren't for math, would we have all these revolutionary inventions we have nowadays?

First post.

Well I'll be tracking my progress in my pre-calculus class, show what I've learned and am learning.. This page describes the purpose of the blog.
